I hate to spoil the review party, but as a long-time member of the Carrack appreciation society I am not pleased that his uniqueness has gotten submerged in his quest for popularity. This album shows a substantial decline in distinction over Blue Views and it points the way to the slick and vapid Satisfy My Soul, the album after this one. If Kohl's department store isn't your favorite music environment give a listen to Carrack's earlier work, Suburban Voodoo. In his MOR phase, Blue Views is quite a decent effort. I'm not pleased to see the blanding of Paul Carrack, but something similar happened to his 70s band Ace.
