Full title, 'Departures Global Underground Sampler'. Originally released in 1998, this excellent budget-priced sampler from the influential UK dance label features selections from Oakenfold, Warren, De Vit and Digweed. Over 70 minutes of music. Standard jewel case.
I really like this album because you really feel like it provides a mix of all the great underground dj's put into one cd. Alot of the tracks are simply perfect as where others are a little repetetive. Its starts off with sommersault by taste experience which starts off slow and proggesses into a boring song , but after that is Air which both these songs were done by oakenfold, then comes to hong kong trash, which to me is a nice taste of digweed, great loops and sortof a good house feeling. Then theres " Lose it" which has been done by nick warren, Heres the other great ones " Submissions" , Axiatonal", Trancellions, Breathe, PINK BOMB by indica is probly my favorite song on the album. This cd provides a lot to you if you like alot of the past songs that the global underground djs have done. and they are all combined into one great cd. TO be honest the really isnt any song i don't like, just some i like more than others. If you don't have this album i highly suggest you get it, and its much better than the arrivals cd. Enjoy
