In 2006, the band handed the tapes back to Solter to do with them what he pleased. The architect became the destroyer as tape machines were booby-trapped, analog gear harassed, and wire recorders sent spinning. The original sounds (the only source material) were undermined - and exalted - by the very devices that brought them to life in the first place. "Stowaway" was dismantled. "Canonic" was born.
