Lou Rawls sadly is gone now but leaves behind a vast catalog of brilliant and varied collections such as this superb set that should have received acclaim but radio does not give any support to classic legendary singers any longer for some strange reason...but leave collections such as this to us real lovers of great music and great singers such as Lou Rawls! "It's Supposed To Be Fun" is great fun and full of the whose who of great musicians playing full-tilt and Lou Rawl's is in superb voice and very loose and having the time of his life...and so will anyone who gives this Masterpiece a spin. "This Bitter Earth" is an amazing tour-de-force that is a lession of what great singing is about..."You're The One" is mesmerizing while the old classic "(I Don't Know Why I Love You) But I Do is given its definitive performance here. "Good Night My Love" is poignant and the closing "The Last Night Of The World" from "Miss Saigon" is wonderfully brilliant and the perfect finale to a wonderous collection. Thank you Lou Rawls for all the years of great entertainment and your rich soulful voice will be missed.
