QB's Finest was an idea that Nas had going on all along and he just finally got the time to put everything together. After "Illmatic" by Nas and "The Infamous" by Mobb Deep, a path was created for rappers to follow by just telling the street tales of the infamous QB and letting your skills do the rest. Capone N Noreaga, Nature, Cormega, The Bravehearts, Infamous Mobb, & Millenium Thug are following in the path that was created for them. The CD starts off with a Who's Who of Queensbridge, "Da Bridge 2001" and has Nas ending up the all star jam with a memorable verse. Although, this isn't a Nas CD, he does carry a lot of lyrical weight on this CD compilation. Nas also includes a song that was supposed to be released in 1999 with the "I Am" and "Nastradamus" Cds, "Find Ya Wealth". This song is classic Nasty Nas, as he goes back to his roots with this song. This song will definitely have fans waiting for his new CD. QB's Finest also allows others to shine as well. Prodigy, who not to long ago released "H.N.I.C", which is a classic, shows up on "Power Rap" and a song with Nas "Self Conscience" and both of those songs are tight as well. Nature shows up with "Fire" and will have some people going to pick up his solo CD, the slept on "For All Seasons". Capone N Noreaga, who also have a classic CD on their hands with the highly anticipated "The Reunion", show up with Iman Thug on the song, "Our Way". The 2nd single to this compilation is a song for the ladies called "Oochie Wally" by The Bravehearts. The song is tight but the song on the CD is not the song that everyone is hearing on the radio and in the video. Nas, does the 1st verse on that version and it's disappointing that this version is not on this CD. However, the song will probably show up on a re-released version of this CD. This happens a lot on Cds but this CD is still a must have in your collection, even if you don't have the current "Oochie Wally" on it.
