Rehab's debut album shows good effort. Their mix of alternative and hip-hop is absolutely brilliant, and pulled off impeccably on "Scarecrow," "Sittin' At the Bar," and "It Don't Matter." They also show talent in the straight rap genre ("Storm Chaser" is an excellent example. But this album is far from perfect. Some of the songs are overly repetitious, ie "Drinkin' Problem," "Rattle My Cage," "Crazy People," "Hey Fred," and "Miss Jones." Others simply have no place whatsoever on the album ("Thinkin' Again" is a peculiar number, consisting of an annoying techno background tune and the voice of a stereotypical television show host). All Rehab needs to do is focus on their strength - hip hop/alternative - and their next album could easily rate five stars from me.
