I'd really like to examine the music collections of the people giving this five stars. I'm guessing that most of these people are listeners from the "post-Diddy" era. The fact that most of the 4 and 5 star reviews come from Cleveland/Midwest residents isn't a coincidence either.....so can you really expect them to be objective? Probably not. The fact is, this isn't a bad album. There are some pretty good tracks on the album and the production is good for the most part. "The Payback" has a nice beat and the scratches and cuts are tight. Ray seems to be at his best when he actually has something to say though. "Better Way", "Here I Stand", and "F*ck Amerikkka" would be perfect examples of that. "Bumpin' My Music" is tight. I think most of us know that already. "Livin' My Life" and "The Bomb" help to bolster the rest of the LP. The sound of the album is bass heavy and dark, but it works well for Ray. I noticed cats saying that Ray Cash is bringing back lyricism. From what I hear, Ray Cash is good...but let's slow down with the "great" talk. Just because a rapper doesn't suck doesn't make them great. There's a middle ground between the two extremes -- average. Ray seems to fall flat when he lowers himself and covers the average, everyday topics that every thug of the week is covering (pimpin', "haters", drugs, money, etc..). There are a few passable tracks on the album like "Sex Appeal (Pimp In My Own Mind)" and "Dope Game" which suffer from boring production. Also, "Smokin and Leanin", "P***y A** N***as", and "Fiends Fiends Fiends" are pretty much skip material. Cash On Delivery is a solid release. It's nothing out of this world, but you won't be mad at yourself for buying it. The production for the most part is solid, but what Ray Cash has to say isn't anything you haven't heard already. Like I said already, Ray seems to be at his best when he actually covers topics worth hearing. But since that happens on less than half the album, I can't give him four stars. I'd recommend that those that are iffy about getting this go ahead and download it first. I'm curious as to what his next album is going to be like though. Standout Tracks: Livin' My Life, Bumpin' My Music feat. Scarface, Here I Stand, The Payback (My Favorite), F*ck Amerikka, The Bomb feat. Yummy, and Better Way feat.
