This is one of those compilations that could easily have passed you by back at the end of 99, but which, once you hear it, will make you want to search out all 3 volumes. These are the hard, techno-riff sounds that were filling the clubs back then, a perfect blend of vocal and non-vocal. Plus, you get some full length versions of mixes that are probably near impossible to get on CD these days. Track times and notes: 1. Let It Rain...Soul Solution (8:42) (Soul Solution was in their heyday as remixers when the released this sing. Great female vocals, but surprisingly commercial house--until the amazing techno riff breakdown in the middle) 2. River of Dreams...Matt Bianco (4:12) (Rejoice that this is only 4 minutes. A lame male vocal soft house song. Doesn't' fit in here) 3. Show Me...Frank'O Moriaghi (5:44) (more filler. Dubby boring tribal track) 4. The Lover That You Are...Pulse (8:46) (The tragedy here...this slamming mix of this huge hit gets faded early! And it's really bad fade, like right in the middle of the vocals.) 5. Work...C&R Project (7:59) (This is hardcore techno house...raise your hands in the air power) 6. Soul Energy...Christian Scott (6:18) (Another out of place chill house song. BORING) 7. Take Me To The Top...Plasmic Honey (8:26) (Plasmic Honey basically pioneered this hard house sound, which is why they deserve the two tracks on here. Amazing) 8. Ignition...C&R Project (6:56) (Deep, dark, and hard nasty house.) 9. We Are in The Dark...Plasmic Honey (8:55) (Again, Plasmic Honey, ALWAYS amazing) 10. The Untouchable Dance...Calle & Rizzo (6:17) (Interesting chill house with some breakbeat moments. Good cool down after all the energy this disc delivered)
