This album is... different. Very, very different -- in a totally good way. The easy box to throw it into would be alternative with a little dash of punk flair, but that would be a huge oversimplification. There are touches of atmospheric New Age. Most prominently, there's a fiddle. A fiddle, and an occasional flute. In rock music. I know, sounds strange. It's just a fascinating album, though, it really is -- like crack for the ears, or something, the sort of album that constantly surprises you and makes you think "wow, neat!" It's truly enthralling, and it rocks, too. Give it a chance -- it's good stuff.
