Whenever you hear that a relatively unknown group has influenced a top notch band such as Gómez you feel compelled to research the roots of such "new" trend. You won't be dissapointed. Everytime I have shown this record to music lovers they have always given me different, yet possitive, descriptions: Neo-hippie, Bluessy tunes, folk-rock, The Who derivates, et al. Scott 4 is all that, as a sum, and none as a single reference. Some tracks are very much like Gómez, though some will make you think of G Love, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Coldplay or Departure Lounge. It doesn't matter. This band stands on its own as a powerful ecclectic and influential source for bands to come (and some succeeding). Recomended tracks: Plane, Deutsche LP Record, Ms. Goddess Nr 2 & Cheese fourtracks. Buy it and enjoy the experience.
