Dave Ramont is truly a great and little known artist and "Scofflaws" is an excellent collection of well crafted tunes. Dave's music is like that piece of pastry you dropped on the ground and decided to eat anyway. It's many layered, a little flaky, textured with a surprising lightness on the ears but very rich and filling with just a touch of something sweet. Nevermind the dirt that's what gives it that special flavor. I once heard it called a thinking man's country music. The guitar work is flawless, and the songs are smart and down to earth.
