It gets hard to keep reviewing Peter's mix cds because even though he evolves with the cutting edge sounds while keeping his signature pounding sound, he always puts out a good product (I still have't "got" the Live @ Roxy 2 track selection, but that's the exception). He walks the tightrope between underground and peak anthems, so his fans sometimes argue about too dark or too vocal, but that's within a range most enjoy anyhow. Montreal leans towards minimal and tech influences, with just a few vocals and vocal loops but lots of dub feeling. You picture him in the booth looking out, thinking, "how will they react to THIS?" :-) Hopefully amazon will get the correct 2 disc track list, but don't wait to buy this if you love the NY house sound.
