Ricky Van Shelton's Blue Christmas is predominantly comprised of contemporary classics like "Silver Bells" and "Winter Wonderland," with a couple of hymns ("Silent Night," "O Come All Ye Faithful) and a remake of his best known holiday composition ("Country Christmas") filling out the lineup. Shelton's voice has grown deeper and less supple since his hit-making run about a decade ago, but a tremendous warmth still radiates.
