It was one of the favorite Zarzuelas of my grandmother Angelina Llobet Torriani, and it is one of the best Zarzuelas that exist. The first time I heard it was with an old LP when I was little boy, and some of the music and the dialogues remained in my memories until today. It is great that now the original Montilla record is in CD. Whether you like or not Zarzuelas or spanish music; you will love this vivid music composition.
