As a roots fan, i actually HAVE heard this CD, and liked it. Its different, but not in a bad way. The quartet does a good job of staying true to the beats, and has a good selection of tracks. My only complaint is that the CD, which came out right after Phernology, is a bit heavy on tracks from that CD, and has fewer of the older classics. If you like the roots, you will like this.
