I'm not a hard-core country fan by any stretch of the imagination. Came upon this disc while checking out some of the new acts on Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss' Almo Sounds label. My conclusion: there isn't a mediocre song on this album. It holds your interest throughout. And if you'd never bought a country record before, this would be your first time. My favorite track is "Broken Hearted Me," if I've got to choose one. Billy Yates creates incredible music with universal appeal. Let's hear more soon.
