In the 80's, Barbara Gogan was in The Passions, who had a hit with "I'm in Love with a German Film Star." The music here, though, is more folktronica (for lack of a better word). Gogan brings the acoustic guitar and sweet voice, Zazou brings the electronics and the result is a record that should have had far greater success than it did. It has the woozy beauty of Mazzy Star or Emmylou Harris' "Wrecking Ball". When it came out, I often gave it as a present, one that was always appreciated.
